It's All About Sports Collar Stays By Hulas......."The Polo Edition".

Sports Collar Stays by Hulas were created by former military member Robert Hookano.

Robert, accustomed to the high standards of dress in the United States Air Force, was determined to present the right image at his new place of work, even on casual Fridays. Rather than show up with a curling, floppy collar on his sports shirt, Robert invented a device to keep his collars looking sharp. That device was the first prototype of Hulas, the stick-on Sports Collar Stay.

Not long after Robert made those first prototypes, the wife of a Navy Chief was so impressed by his crisp collar; she stopped him to ask about it. As soon as she saw the innovative and simple solution Robert had devised, she insisted that he explore mass production, because “everyone who wears sports shirts will use these things to keep their collars straight!”

With that encouragement, Robert went looking for production possibilities and soon partnered with David Jeffery, the manufacturer of Micro Grip guitar picks. With a minimum of tooling changes, David’s production process for guitar picks proved a perfect match for the mass production of Hulas. Working with David, Robert created a reproducible, “green” version of his stick-on stays, made from 100% recycled material and punched them out using progressive tooling to ensure a high quality product. Sports Collar Stays by Hulas were born.

In Robert’s exact words, no one wants to look like a sloppy Joe.  “There’s not a sport collar in the world that’s not curling as we speak.” Unless you’re wearing Hulas, of course!
